Health Insurance CA

One thing is for sure; health insurance rates vary greatly in the state of California. But the state has some solid federal and state-funded health programs to meet the needs of those who can’t afford a quality health insurance plan.

Individual and family Plans

These policies are for those who are self-employed, are not covered by a group plan through their job, are not fully covered by another plan, seek added protection, and those who want to add items like dental and term life insurance.Medi-Cal

This state-funded program offers a no-cost health care coverage plan for people and families in need. Certain financial requirement s must be met. It is known as the California Medicaid Program.

Healthy Families

This plan covers health care for children who come from families who struggle to make ends meet but do not meet the financial requirement for Medi-Cal.

MRMIP

The California Major Risk Medical Insurance Program was designed to provide health insurance coverage for high-risk residents who can’t otherwise be insured.

AIM

This program was designed for infants and their mothers whose gross income is too high to meet the requirements of the state-funded program. This service helps women with prenatal care and well as post-pardon.

CMSP

While many residents aren’t approved for Medi-Cal, this program exists to provide medical, dental and vision coverage to adults in rural areas who can’t afford health insurance policies and aren’t covered through group plans.

Healthy You

Above all else, the best way to stay healthy is to practice healthy living. This means staying on top of preventative care and taking care of your body. Eating right, exercising, reducing stress factors in your life and avoiding certain risks can help keep medical costs down for all California residents, regardless of the type of health coverage you have.
